Poverty Profile of Bantaeng Regency March 2024

The percentage of poor people in March 2024 was 8.26 percent, a decrease of 0.92 percentage points against March 2023 (9.18 percent) and a decrease of 0.81 percentage points against March 2022 (9.07 percent).

The number of poor people in March 2024 amounted to 15.80 thousand people, a decrease of around 1,690 people against March 2023 (17.49 thousand people) and a decrease of around 1,420 people against March 2022 (17.22 thousand people).

The Poverty Line in March 2024 was recorded at Rp 434,664 per capita per month, an increase of Rp 14,997 per capita per month against March 2023 (Rp 419,667 per capita per month).

In the last five-year period, from March 2020 to March 2024, the poverty line continued to increase. The poverty line has increased by IDR 93,774 per capita per month from IDR 340,890 per capita per month in March 2020 to IDR 434,664 per capita per month in March 2024.

The Poverty Depth Index (P1) and Poverty Severity Index (P2) in March 2024 were 0.89 and 0.16, respectively. These two indices decreased by 0.32 points and 0.11 points respectively against March 2023.

The percentage of the extreme poor population in March 2024 was 0.65 percentage points.
