Beautiful Village Development 2025: Building a Village Socio-Economic Portrait

Monday, (26/5) – Taking place at the Bonto Jai Village Office, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Bantaeng Regency carried out the 2025 Desa Cinta Statistik (Beautiful Village) development activity with the theme "Assembling Village Socio-Economic Portraits with Data". This activity aims to improve literacy, awareness, and statistical capacity at the village level.

The event was also attended by the Head of Bonto Jai Village, Mr. Amiluddin SE., M.M.; Head of Bissappu District, Mr. Andi Sultan S.Sos.; and the Head of BPS Bantaeng Regency, Mrs. Lukitoningtyas, SST. M.Si. who each gave remarks and support for the implementation of the Beautiful Village program.

In his remarks, the Head of BPS Bantaeng Regency emphasized the importance of strengthening data at the village level as a foundation for data-based development planning. Through the Beautiful Village program, it is hoped that villages will be able to manage data independently, accurately, and sustainably, thereby supporting more targeted policies.

Bonto Jai Village was one of the selected villages in this program because it has demonstrated a commitment to good and participatory data management. This coaching includes technical training on data management, provision related to metadata, and utilization of data for village development.

In closing, it is hoped that the benefits of this activity will not only be felt by Bonto Jai Village, but can also be transmitted and become an inspiration for other villages in Bantaeng Regency. Thus, a village ecosystem will be formed that is data literate and able to prepare development plans based on the real needs of the community.
