Based on data from the 2016 economic census (SE 2016), the largest type of business is Wholesale and Retail Trade, Repair and Maintenance of Cars and Motorcycles with a percentage of 46.38 percent of the total 26.42 million businesses.

In 2026, BPS will conduct another Economic Census.
