Wednesday, December 18, 2024, BPS Bantaeng Regency has conducted a live Press Release of the Official Statistical News of Economic Growth in the Third Quarter of 2024 and the 2024 Socio-Economic Kaleidoscope. The delivery of the release was carried out directly by the Head of BPS Bantaeng Regency, Mrs. Lukitoningtyas, SST, M.Si. This activity was also attended by several media journalists directly.

In the release, it was stated that in the third quarter of 2024, the economy of Bantaeng Regency grew by around 1.02 percent (y-o-y). Then in the socio-economic kaleidoscope, it was conveyed that the percentage of poor people in Bantaeng Regency was around 8.26 percent, which was down from the previous year. In addition, the open unemployment rate in 2024 was around 2.57 percent, which also decreased from the previous year. The Human Development Index figure also increased to 72.20, which is in the high category.
